Youth Enterprises Partnership Project

Queensland GovernmentThe Youth Enterprises Partnership (YEP) Project, funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Communities, is managed by SVA.

The project is designed to fund the establishment of at least two social enterprises in Brisbane and Townsville that specifically target young people aged between 15 and 18 who have either recently entered the youth justice system and are at risk of reoffending or are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

The selected social enterprises should primarily focus on providing employment opportunities for young people via an intermediary labour market approach.

The project should support at least two different social enterprises in Brisbane and Townsville, which can be at different stages of growth. Existing social enterprises that have evidence of creating sustainable employment opportunities for young people, as well as enterprises in the start-up phase, are eligible for support.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to apply for assistance, please complete an Expression of Interest Form.

If your expression of interest form is acceptable, you will be asked to submit a business plan and meet an SVA manager for an initial interview. The manager will then decide whether to begin the due diligence process.

To assist you with the development of your business plan, SVA, in partnership with Parramatta City Council, has developed a business planning guide and template.
