Young People The futures of our families, communities and countries depend on our children. SVA focuses on approaches that deliver one or more of the following:
- School Retention and Education: programs primarily targeting school retention and increased academic achievement for students who are at risk of dropping out of school or who have already dropped out, with a focus on early identification, early intervention, customised learning and mentoring systems.
- Employment and Career Pathways/Transition: programs that target skills development, career pathways and transitions into employment.
- Social Connectedness and Personal Significance: programs that seek to improve emotional outcomes for young people by involving them more actively in their communities, building on their unique contributions and increasing their feelings of self worth and value.
