Web-based Learning

Improving the knowledge of non-profit sector participants and sharing best practices is central to our mission. However, we know that many non-profit participants are unable to attend the workshops and conferences that SVA holds throughout the year because of scheduling and budgeting constraints. For this reason, we seek to make much of our skills, knowledge and expertise available for free via our web site.

Topics covered by these tools include Strategic Planning, Strategic and Operational Capacity, Program Logic and Performance Assessment, Social Return on Investment (SROI) and Strategic Funding techniques.

You can also take an online ‘Taste Test’ of these organisational tools. These short, interactive exercises will help you understand how SVA’s organisational tools might apply to your organisation and improve its effectiveness. (We recommend that you first read the descriptions of each organisational tool before taking the 'Taste Test'.)

We are also in the pilot phase of developing an online financial management training tool in partnership with Gippsland TAFE, Matrix on Board and Our Community.
