Duncan Peppercorn Executive Director |
Duncan leads the SVA Consulting team. He has seven years of experience working with the international strategic consultancies McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company, and five years working as an independent consultant before joining SVA. Duncan has supported clients in resources, construction materials, consumer goods, telecoms, industrial products and financial services, as well as social enterprises and the arts. He holds an MA (Hons) from Cambridge University. Back to Top
Caroline Chernov Consultant
Caroline leads activities involving SVA’s Social Return On Investment (SROI) tool.
Caroline worked for over ten years with Accenture’s Strategy Group in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US and has also served as Director of Strategic Planning and Global Expansion for New Sector (a US and Europe based non-profit organisation specialising in non-profit consulting and leadership development).
Caroline holds a BA (Hons) from The University of Melbourne and an MBA from the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. She also holds a diploma in Managing Non Profit Organizations from Harvard University.

Libby Dummett Consultant
Libby has held several senior management positions in strategy with Bendigo Bank. In her former role as Chief Manager Strategic Innovation, Libby had a lead role in developing a number of Bendigo’s community engagement activities.
In her previous career Libby worked in corporate finance for Grant Samuel. Prior to this Libby worked for Boston Consulting Group and was engaged in a number of pro bono projects for the non-profit sector.
She holds a Bachelor of Economics (first class honours and dux) from Monash University.

Jo Fenner Coordinator, Professional Services |
Jo joined SVA in 2008 as the Coordinator for the Professional Services team.
She has over 10 years of experience as an Administrator/Personal Assistant including seven years in UK local Government and four years in Australia 's recruitment industry in both an administrative and recruitment specialist capacity. Jo is a Street Teams volunteer through City Care. Street Teams aims to build a bridge to the community through deliberate acts of kindness that empower people to move forward in life.

Lisa joined SVA Consulting in 2007. She moved to Sydney from Boston, MA where she worked as a political fundraiser and helped to launch a nonprofit organization to link the national service and social entrepreneurship movements to policy development and civic mobilisation.
Lisa holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Lisa Hagan Manager, Leadership & Learning |
As manager of SVA's Leadership & Learning team, Lisa focuses on the development and delivery of programs aimed at improving non-profit leadership, education and mentoring. Lisa is lead facilitator for SVA's Community Mentor Program and workshop series, designed to build non-profit organisational capacity. A trained mediator, Lisa practised law in Queensland for several years. Completing her MBA in 2000, she began work as a business advisor, moving to Sydney to work with SVA in 2005. Lisa has several years of experience on non-profit boards, including the boards of the Bible Society, Teen Challenge International and Teen Challenge Care. She currently serves on the board of WorkVentures Ltd.

Tabita joined SVA Consulting in 2007. She assists community organisations to develop their business strategies, make use of growth opportunities, use available financing and identify the benefits they are contributing to Australian society.
Prior to joining SVA, Tabita worked as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in Stockholm, Sweden, where she assisted clients in the retail and pharmaceutical industries to develop their strategies and implement operational changes.
She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (University Medal, First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Sydney.

Lisa joined SVA in 2008 as a consultant in the Professional Services team.
Prior to joining SVA Consulting Lisa worked for Capgemini Consulting, where she assisted clients in the public, telecommunications, FMCG, energy and financial services sectors through strategic and operational transformations. She designed and developed Capgemini’s corporate pro bono program delivering consulting services to non-profit organisations.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Hons) from the University of New South Wales.

Elise Sernik Project Officer, Leadership & Learning |
Elise manages a variety of projects for the Leadership & Learning team and SVA Consulting.
Elise has held management positions in non-profit and for-profit organisations in both Australia and the UK. In her previous role as General Manager of Nonprofit Australia Elise seeded a range of programs, including a mentoring program for non-profit chief executives. Prior to this she was Assistant Director of Fundraising and Marketing for Asthma UK.
In her previous career as a media specialist Elise managed program distribution for BBC Worldwide (Sydney) before moving to London where she lead an interactive media joint venture and provided consulting services to some of the UK’s largest media companies.

Cathy Sonnemann Consultant
Cathy has worked with the Social Impact and Leadership & Learning teams at SVA. She is currently responsible for the project management of SVA's new online financial training tool designed to support non-profit CEOs and executives in their financial management skills.
Cathy's extensive experience in the non-profit sector includes roles as the Capacity Builder Manager for the Foundation for Young Australians and as an Executive Director of Our Community Pty Ltd. This experience offered invaluable insights into the operations of non-profit organisations. Prior to this, she held senior positions in the corporate sector including Co-Founder & Product Director for Wishlist.com.au and as Senior Consultant at PricerwaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting (Telecommunications & Information) in the Melbourne, New York and Hong Kong offices.
